Natural Skin Care Tips for Adult Acne

by Abigail McKenzee

Once you've come out of puberty you never have to worry about another pimple again, however, that isn't true for everyone. A lot of people go through their adult life suffering from what is known as, adult acne.

Just like in cases of teen acne, there seems to be no particular cause. Many experts say that adult acne is genetic and/or hormonal. Fortunately, there are a series of successful treatment options for all types of acne.

Before you decide that your acne condition doesn't require real attention, keep in mind that untreated acne can lead to acne scarring. I am sure that you would prefer to deal with your acne on a daily basis than have to live with the scars it can produce.

To help you with your fight against adult acne, we will focus on one type of acne treatment: natural skin care.

Natural Acne Treatment

For the most part, acne is treated with a medicated acne cream and a rigorous cleansing routine. However, if you prefer a more gentle treatment then you can use natural methods to help deal with your acne problems safely and effectively.

One very basic rule of thumb, don't pop any pimples or pick at any scabs. Doing either will irritate your skin and eventually lead to acne scarring. Also, try and keep your hair out of your face. Hair can easily transfer oils and possible bacteria to your skin.

Other tips include eating more fruits and vegetables and less fried and junk foods. You should also wash your bed sheets frequently to avoid the transfer of oils and dirt to your skin. Now that we have that out of the way, let's take a look at the natural products that can help alleviate your acne problems.

Tea Tree Oil

Tea tree oil is gathered from the Melaleuca alternifoliais tree which originates from Australia. It is great for fighting acne because it contains bacteria-fighting substances called "terpenes". Acne is often caused by bacteria and the terpenes can destroy or weaken them.

Tea tree oil doesn't cause side effects, however, it can irritate sensitive skin, so be careful.

Aloe Vera

Aloe vera is very rich in enzymes and has anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties.

Honey

Honey is a very common acne treatment that has been used as an anti-bacterial product for centuries. Due to its low water content and acidic pH level, it is a poor environment for the growth of bacteria.

This is wonderful news for acne sufferers. As mentioned before, acne is generally caused by bacteria which means that if you use honey masks - or another ingredient with similar properties - you could actually be helping eliminate the acne causing bacteria.

A quick and effective acne treatment is the key to preventing acne scars and promoting healthy skin. BIOSKINFORTE is a natural adult acne cream that contains Helix aspersa muller extract. This amazing natural ingredient has both antiseptic and anti bacterial properties that help eliminate the bacteria that are responsible for causing acne.
