Four Things you need to know about Acne Vulgaris

by Valerie Garner

Acne vulgaris is a common skin condition. It is usually referred to as acne and is characterized by several forms of papules, comedones, and nodules. This type of acne can appear sporadically throughout the course of your life, but will usually subside after puberty.

Common acne breakouts can lead to scarring, but acne is mostly a source of embarrassment. Because acne is so popular I'm sure that you've heard about almost every treatment option available, however, here are a few you may not know about.

Daily Skin Care

Acne prevention isn't something you should treat on a daily basis, but something you should treat on an all-day, everyday basis. This means that you should strive to keep your skin as clean as possible throughout the day. Cleansing wipes are a good way to remove debris from the surface of your skin.

These wipes are good when you find yourself far from a fresh water source. However, once you get home you should rinse your face with warm water or take a quick shower to remove the debris from your body.

Cleansing Routine - Always in moderation

Don't scrub your skin too hard when dealing with acne. Avoid being so aggressive with your skin because scrubbing hard doesn't necessarily promise a cleaner skin.

Harsh cleansing or over cleansing can actually promote the production of sebum and can lead to more clogging. In addition, you can damage your skin and cause irritation and lesions. Neither of these scenarios is good for acne.

Acne Home Remedies Work

Many people may think that home remedies are just quaint recipes handed down for generations. But, why would someone hand down acne solutions if they didn't actually work?

The more common acne home remedies include:

*rose water solution. This natural product is a light astringent that is used to control inflammatory disorders like acne.

*sulfur. Sulfur is one of the oldest acne remedies known to man. Sulfur can be used as an exfoliant and an antiseptic. It is capable of penetrating into the sebaceous glands to help the immune system eliminate acne infection.

Acne Creams are NOT all Alike

Make sure to pick acne creams that contain salicylic acid, retinol (or another form of Vitamin A) and/or some form of exfoliation. You should also steer clear of acne treatments that include alcohol and mineral oils as their ingredients. Alcohol will dry out your skin, while mineral oils will clog your pores.

Don't you think it's about time you stop losing sleep over the question: what causes acne? Instead, look for acne products, like BIOSKINCLEAR, that are effective against acne. Choosing products like BIOSKINCLEAR for your natural acne treatments is a good way to get rid of your acne and keep your skin healthy.
