How to: Natural Skin Care Products for Dry Skin Relief
Dry skin has several disadvantages associated to it. One such disadvantage is its lack moisture and natural oils which eventually lead it to premature aging. In addition, dry skin is often very sensitive to traditional skin care products and harsh ingredients.
Furthermore, dry skin has two subtypes which need to be treated separately. These subtypes are normal dry skin and extremely dry skin. You may think it's a bit exaggerated, but it's necessary to treat these skin types differently.
Taking Care of Normal Dry Skin
First of all let's start with the appropriate dry skin routine. Soapy cleansers are not a good choice for dry skin. Soap and water can strip both natural oils and moisture from your skin.
People with dry skin should use a cream cleanser. Cream cleansers can help you remove debris from your skin without robbing your skin of excess moisture. Follow up this step with an alcohol free toner to refresh your skin.
Your dry skin care should be rounded off with a good moisturizing cream that should be reapplied as many times as you need it during the day. Don't forget to exfoliate once every week with exfoliating creams or homemade mixtures based on grapefruit juice and oatmeal.
Taking Care of Very Dry Skin
If your skin still feels tight and itchy after you perform the previously mentioned cleansing routine then you have very dry skin. If this is your case then you should switch over to oils, not oil-based products, but actual oil. Olive oil and rose hip oil are excellent options for treating very dry skin.
Change your cream cleanser for olive oil. Spread and lather the oil on your face. Once you let the oil set for a minute or two you should take a relatively hot, moist towel and place it on your face. Let it sit a few minutes while it cools off and then, gently wipe off the oil using the moist towel.
Apply a creamy moisturizer immediately after you've wiped off the oil. This product will absorb quickly and lock in the moisture. This is all you'll need to do if you want to keep your very dry skin under control.
To exfoliate this type of dry skin, try using milk. Keep in mind that this method can be shocking when you first use it even though milk is a frequently used natural product for dry skin. However you should make sure to moisturize immediately afterwards because milk tends to tighten the skin in an abrupt manner.
It may not be easy to find the right natural skin care products but with a little trial and error it will be well worth the effort.
A good dry skin treatment is based on the right skin moisturizer in addition to other factors. BIOSKINBALM is a face skin care product made with snail serum which helps moisturize and fortify dry skin in a gentle, yet effective manner.
