Which Anti Wrinkle Cream Is The Best?

by Jen Hopkins

Anti Wrinkle creams are advertised everywhere, on TV, in newspapers and magazines and of course the internet. They all claim positive results with their use. These results range from minimizing the appearance of damage already done to your skin, to the prevention of future damage.

There are numerous consumer sites on the internet as well as in consumer magazines that will review these products. Since they have no monetary investment in these products and are not affiliated with the manufacturers in any way, they will not be biased toward the product. Also you should keep in mind that independent studies done on many of these products have found that the claims made about the benefits have been enhanced.

When you are in the process of making the decision to try an anti wrinkle cream you need to keep in mind your skin type. Is it oily, dry or a combination of both? The cream that you choose needs to be formulated for your skin type. If you use a cream that isn't suited to your skin type, you can cause more problems. Acne can occur if you use a heavy moisturizer on skin that is already oily. You should look at all the reviews you can find and pick the product that matches your skin type and needs most closely.

A common mistake many people make is that they fail to follow the instructions on the packaging. They might think that, if the instructions say to leave the product on for five minutes, then ten minutes will be twice as good. Whatever you do, don't do this! It can lead to skin irritation, among other things. Also, make sure that you're using a product designed for that particular part of your body. A facial cream may be ineffective on thicker skin, and a hand cream might be too harsh for the sensitive skin of your face.

An important consideration when choosing your anti wrinkle product is the amount of time you have available. Many products have different steps involved and can be time consuming while other products just require a quick application. Carefully weigh the options with each of the products you are considering, keeping in mind the time you can spend in application, before you make your final decision.

Price should not be the determining factor on your choice. Some very expensive products are very effective and some are no more effective than lesser priced products. It all depends upon which products work for you. Do your research. There may be a product that is less costly than the highly priced product that you are looking at that has the same ingredients and will do the job just as well.

There are many characteristics of these products. Some are greasier than others, some are fragrant, there are different consistencies to consider. All of these factors are in addition to effectiveness, price and convenience and should be compared on the review site you choose. Your personal preferences are how you will ultimately make your decision.

Likes and dislikes vary from one individual to another. A product that you didn't like may be someone else absolute favorite. Keep in mind what benefits you are looking for and do the necessary research. Become a well informed consumer.
